Michael Drew
Michael has earned his living as a jobbing actor since his late twenties on film and TV, in theatre, on radio and as a voice actor. It all started when performing with elephants in a Swedish circus! Michael then made his way to New York and trained with Lee Strasburg; theatre life with La Mamma; a few episodes of Kojak and Sesame Street and on to more training at LAMDA in London.
Michael’s movies include Highlander, Return of the Jedi, Santa Claus the Movie. TV includes, Judge Deed and Waking the Dead for the BBC … a year of Crossroads for ITV … many happy BBC radio dramas and corporate presentations.
Michael is also in demand for his beautiful documentary narrations which include National Geographic, BBC Wildlife Discovery, Animal Planet and Animal X series. He has recorded several audio books, both fantasy and technical. Loads of fun animation characters & several ‘nasties’ in Power Rangers and of course many commercials for all media. European clients included: WeightWatchers, Economist, BP, Volvo, Shell, RSPCA, Welsh Beef, Pendennis Castle, and the Wales Tourist Board.
Although happy to travel, Michael mostly works out of his own professional sound studio in Nelson … you won’t believe the view!
