Piranha Talent is the exclusive voice agency for some of New Zealand’s most respected and talented actors, with representation also in the US, UK and Australia.
Offering talent representation and casting services, plus linked with our sister company Post Production Sound, we offer voice talent for: TV, Radio, Internet, Cinema and on anything that requires a recorded voice performance.
The Beginning
Since inception in 1997 by Liana Slade-Baker (lovingly known as “Piranha”), Piranha Talent has showcased New Zealand’s finest voice talent. Liana’s own voice career and her extensive knowledge of the industry, enabled her to attract some of New Zealand’s most respected and experienced actors.
Piranha Talent now represents voice actors in Australia, the USA, UK and across our own motu.
In 2023 Liana passed Piranha Talent Agency to the safe and loving hands of Kathy McKay and Nigel Foster, a dynamic couple who jointly manage Piranha Talent Agency.
Our People
Kathy McKay
Kathy has extesnsive experience in marketing and communications with a focus on storytelling. She has led award winning campaigns and teams client side and is skilled at managing multiple projects on time and in budget. Beloved for her warmth and awhi Kathy also has an uncanny ability to find the perfect voice for any project.
Nigel Foster
Having started his sound engineering career in the 1990’s in New Zealand working on iconic kiwi albums Nigel then spent over a decade working in London. After a few years at Disney he returned home to begin his own studio, Post Production Sound in Freeman’s Bay Auckland. Nigel is a gifted director, talented maestro and all round good-bugger.
